Excuse me lang.
Yes~ My Philippines~! My version of Philippines for Hetalia in her formal national clothing.
I'm pretty sure you've all read about the Philippines and his/her bio around DA so I'm not planning to put it up here. It's all one and the same, since history can't be changed.
And because of that, I'll just put her relationship with other countries.
Personality: ~Quite energetic, optimistic and cheerful, however, she doesn't trust new people easily. She likes to smile a lot and she happily entertains visitors
Some foreigners find her scary (due to the people and well, suspicious stuff at her place), however, vacation spots at her home immediately make it up to them.
Spain (Antonio Fernandez Carriedo) ~ Raised her from being a chibi!nation-tan into a Christian. Although Spain was known to have been kind only to Romano and very strict to his other colonies, Philippines still felt happy with him despite his stern and stiff attitude towards her until she realized her need for independence which he deprived her of. However, Spain later sold her to America while faking a fight to finally avoid her growing rebellion, constant broom-hitting and hard knuckles (yes, she's got quite a punch). In modern times, Philippines would visit her father every now and then. After more than a hundred years of separation, Spain will finally teach her his language again. Philippines looks up to him as a father figure.
America (Alfred F. Jones) ~At first she didn't like him. But eventually, Philippines loosened up to him and cared for him deeply. Under his roof, she would often cook for him, nurse his wounds every time he gets into a fight and wakes him up every morning. He made her an independent country sometime after he took her away from Japan. America is also there to help her when she's in need, especially when General Typhoon would barge into her home or when her weird boss would steal her wallet. At present, he is Philippine's best friend. She hates to admit how she still depends on him greatly nowadays.
China (Wang Yao) ~Just like any Asian nation, China is Philippine's older brother. She was first adopted by him before Spain did but eventually let her off with the European but remained in contact with her. China is also one of her biggest, most important trade partner.
Japan (Honda Kiku) ~Philippines and Japan had a really sour past, especially during WW2. She was forced to work under his house and was often hurt by him. She tried to fight him off but obviously, Japan is too strong during his Imperial regime. After her independence, their relationship had slowly returned to normal, with Japan constantly apologizing for what he had done. The two are good trade partners nowadays with many things in good relations. However, Philippines' point of view when it comes to personal relations with him is still unclear.
Germany (Ludwig) ~During Philippines' stay in Japan's house, Germany planned to take her if America didn't want her, however, her "hero" had taken her away. At present times, Germany is also one of Philippines' friends and trading partners. (From an article I've read) Germany enjoys hearing her singing voice and enjoys her white, sandy beaches.
England (Arthur Kirkland) ~England stole a very young Philippines from Spain's house and had worked as a maid in his. Eventually, Spain came and took her back. The two, however, had been on good terms anyways and shared the interest in supernatural beings, considering that Philippines has her own share of "friends".
Taiwan ~One of Philippines' friends and neighbors who is also her trading partner.
Vietnam ~Another friend of Philippines. They both have good trading relations and Philippines treat her as one of her "older sisters".
Indonesia and Malaysia ~Philippines' siblings. When they were still young, even before the other countries took them, they all played together happily in the past until their respective colonizers took care of them. Also, they share one common sigma: they all have flowers on their hair. ~~
~Her official language is Filipino which comprises of words whose origins date back in the Pre-Hispanic era. Also, has been influenced by many different languages through out the years.
~She is the only Spanish colony who doesn't know how to speak Spanish (OTL).
~She is known to be one of the most fragrant-smelling nation, taking a bath at least THREE TIMES A DAY.
~She is famous for the Pineapples, Bananas and Mangoes she grow.
~She has "friends" which only she and England can see. One of her particular companions is Manong* Kapre and Manang* Manananggal. ~~
I tried to use Himaruya-sama's style with a bit of mine to make her a bit more realistic. For me, at least. Yeah, fail OTL and she looks pale. Well, good enough for a first try.
