Edit 5-14-16: Updated Info!

Long overdue project! These kids are Zhao Yun's baby dragons, (L-R) Zhao Tong, Zhao Ziyang and Zhao Guang.

Historically, Zhao Yun had two recorded sons. Whether or not they were adopted, no one knows for sure and any information about their mother has been lost throughout history. I've decided to adopt them as Liangchen's children, and created Zhao Ziyang for added fun :D The boys' information are very much taken from what little records they have and I just played around with the rest.

Zhao Tong ()
Style name: Zicheng
子承
Zhao Yun's firstborn son and his immediate successor. He was diligently trained by his father from a very young age so that he may be able to protect himself and his siblings. Smart as he was strong, he became the ideal general and served Shu, inheriting Zhao Yun's marquisate upon his death. Along with Guang, he stood guard to protect their father's final resting place until the campaign ended. He enjoys strategy and warfare games, and would enjoy listening to his mother play the guzheng during his spare time. He could be aloof and oblivious, but he cares about his family a lot. He isn't well-versed in expressing how he feels and would often keep to himself than open up to other people.

He married Ma Chao's daughter and fathered Zhao Chunyang, who later became Wen Yang's wife.

Weapon: Naginata

Zhao Ziyang (趙子暘)
Zhao Yun and Liangchen's only daughter and younger sister to Zhao Tong. She had taken an interest in martial arts at a very young age, but it was not until she reached teenhood that Zhao Yun taught her how to fight. Despite that, she proved to be equally capable as her brothers and had joined them in skirmishes a few times. She is fiercely independent and is determined to equal her brothers in both strength and intellect. In the battlefield, she is merciless and shows no remorse, especially when dealing with brigands--a stark contrast to her kind and compassionate father. In a more casual setting, she is curt and polite, and often shares a friendly smile. When their mother died, she stayed to comfort their grieving father and took care of him until his death months later. She fought alongside her brothers soon after. She is close to her father but like her mother, she believes in his integrity as a warrior than as a general under Liu Bei. She is fond of poetry and calligraphy, and would spend her spare time doing either. She had adorned her personal room with such works of art and would sometimes give those to her close friends as gifts. She isn't talkative around people, and is more of the listening type. She is perceptive of the thoughts and emotions of the people around her--a trait she often uses against her enemies. She was known to lack a bit of height in comparison to her brothers, so she was often mistaken as the youngest child. However, after a growth spurt in her teens, she grew considerably taller.

She married Guan Xing and mothered Guan Tong.

Weapon: Dragon Claws (double shuriken-like blades)

Zhao Guang (
)
Style name: Gongxiang
公翔
Zhao Yun's second son and youngest of the Zhao children. Like Tong, he was also personally trained by their father to fight during his childhood. He is extremely active and highly athletic, and enjoys physical training more than discussing strategy and studying. Hot-headed and firey, he is a polar opposite to his older brother and would sometimes charge recklessly into battle--a trait his parents would remind him to be cautious of. He participated in Jiang Wei's northern campaigns and was missing in action in Tazhong, leading many to believe he had died. He enjoys picking fruits for his younger friends, and had once tried to get into poetry but to no avail. Guang has a short temper and can be extremely impatient, but he is also very sensitive and frets about the safety of his own comrades. He admires his father's strength, and loves his mother's cooking.

Weapon: Dual Dao

After some snooping around, I finally found the appropriate characters for their given names, while I've provided the style names since I didn't see (or have failed in my search idk) any when I looked them up. Tong's style name means "young heir" while Guang's means "lord who soars/lord of the skies". I didn't opt for the usual style name dependent on birth order because there's only two of them boys in the brood. I've also yet to design their weapons and final design renders ><;; as much as I enjoy doing all that stuff, they're pretty time-consuming lol.. but for now, I'm satisfied to put this up~ I haven't finalized their designs until last week, and I was just so excited to get it done before starting an art trade I have with a friend. I hope to draw them with daddy or mommy one day aslkdjlkd

Zhao Chunyang is also an OC of mine, in case confusion happens. I never found information on Zhao Yun's descendants other than his two sons.

Tell me what you think!
